The tri-clamp connection enables rapid assembly and disassembly without tools. 316L stainless steel construction with internal surfaces polished to Ra ≤ 0.8 μm prevents bacterial adhesion. How to select a sanitary tri-clamp butterfly valve for hygienic service

  1. Specify tri-clamp connections for crevice-free, tool-free assembly and cleaning.

  2. Select 316L stainless steel with internal finish Ra ≤ 0.8 μm (food) or Ra ≤ 0.4 μm (pharma).

  3. Choose seal material: EPDM for food/dairy, silicone for pharmaceutical, FPM for oils.

  4. Verify compliance: 3-A Sanitary for food, ASME BPE for pharmaceutical.
