How to select a sanitary butterfly valve for food and beverage?

  1. Identify the product type: dairy, beverage, oil/fat, or pharmaceutical.

  2. Choose body material: 304 for general, 316L for corrosive or high-purity.

  3. Select seal material: EPDM for water/steam, FPM for oils/fats.

  4. Specify surface finish: Ra ≤ 0.8 μm for food, Ra ≤ 0.4 μm for pharmaceutical.
