The ball is fully encapsulated with 316L stainless steel and electropolished to Ra ≤ 0.4 μm. The smooth, non-stick surface prevents product adhesion. PTFE cavity-filled seats eliminate the space between ball and body where fluid could be trapped—standard ball valves can retain up to 5 mL of product. A sanitary ball with cavity-filled seats ensures no media is trapped during cleaning cycles, preventing cross-contamination between batches.
Self-Draining Flow Path – Complete Evacuation
The valve body features a self-draining geometry with sloped internal surfaces that direct product toward the outlet. When the valve is closed, the flow path evacuates completely, leaving no horizontal pockets where fluid could stagnate. This design ensures full drainability in vertical or horizontal installations, reducing cleaning time and chemical usage.
Surface Finish and Cleanability
Internal surface finish directly determines bacterial adhesion and cleanability. Sanitary ball valves require electropolished internal surfaces of Ra ≤ 0.4 μm for pharmaceutical applications. A sanitary valve with cavity-filled PTFE seats ensures no media is trapped during cleaning cycles, providing full CIP/SIP compatibility.

Three-Way Configurations
A pneumatic sanitary three way valve is available in T-port and L-port configurations. T-port valves enable mixing and diverting where three flow paths are interconnected. L-port valves are used for flow selection between two inlets to a common outlet.
