A mixproof valve prevents two different fluids from contacting each other through a double-sealing structure and leakage chamber. The main design points include single-seat sealing, pneumatic operation, external cleaning, and stainless steel construction. This structure allows separate product flow paths in one valve body while maintaining hygienic processing conditions.

Single Seat Double Seal Structure

The single-seat double seal design creates two independent sealing areas inside the valve. A separation chamber between the seals prevents different fluids from mixing during operation.

When leakage occurs, the chamber guides the fluid away from the product channel. This design improves safety in systems where multiple liquids share the same pipeline.

A mixproof valve is commonly installed in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical processing lines that require reliable fluid separation.

Leakage Chamber for Anti-Mixing Protection

The leakage chamber is placed between the upper and lower seals. It provides a controlled space for detecting and draining possible leakage before contamination occurs.

The chamber structure supports:

  •  Independent sealing
Separates different fluid paths during valve operation.
  •  Leakage detection
Allows operators to identify sealing problems.
  •  Cleaning protection
Reduces contamination risks during sanitation cycles.

This design makes mixproof valves different from standard flow control valves.

Pneumatic Operation and External Cleaning System

The pneumatic actuator controls valve opening and closing through automated signals. It provides fast response for production systems requiring frequent switching between fluid paths.

The external cleaning design allows the valve surface to be cleaned without removing the equipment. This feature supports sanitary production processes with regular cleaning requirements.

Component Design Feature Function
Valve body Stainless steel Provides corrosion resistance
Seal system Double sealing structure Separates different fluids
Actuator Pneumatic drive Controls automatic operation
Cleaning system External cleaning port Supports sanitation

Material Selection and Surface Requirements

Stainless steel is widely used for sanitary valve bodies because it provides strength, corrosion resistance, and a smooth contact surface.

The internal surface finish affects cleaning performance. A smooth flow channel reduces residue buildup and supports repeated CIP cleaning procedures.

A mixed proof valve with suitable material selection can maintain stable operation in continuous processing systems.

Factors for Selecting a Mixproof Valve

1. Product Compatibility

Different fluids may have different temperatures, chemical characteristics, and viscosity. Seal materials and valve construction should match actual process conditions.

2. Pressure and Flow Conditions

Valve size should match pipeline requirements. Correct sizing helps maintain stable flow and reduces unnecessary pressure loss.

3. Cleaning Requirements

The valve structure should minimize dead areas and support cleaning methods such as CIP. This helps maintain hygienic conditions during repeated production cycles.

Applications in Sanitary Processing

Mix proof valves are commonly used in:

  • Dairy processing systems
  • Beverage production lines
  • Fermentation equipment
  • Food filling systems
  • Pharmaceutical pipelines

These applications require separation between different products, cleaning fluids, and process media.

Benefits of Double Separation Technology

A suitable mixproof valve provides:

  •  Fluid separation
Prevents different products from entering the same flow path.
  •  Automatic control
Pneumatic operation supports integration with production systems.
  •  Simplified cleaning
External cleaning design supports sanitation procedures.
  •  Flexible process management
Allows multiple operations within one pipeline system.

Frequently Asked Questions About Mixproof Valves

How does a mixproof valve prevent product mixing?

The valve uses two sealing points with a leakage chamber between them. If leakage happens, the chamber directs the fluid away before it reaches another product channel.

What makes a mixproof valve different from a normal valve?

A standard valve usually controls one flow path, while a mixproof valve separates two different fluids within the same valve body.

Why are pneumatic actuators used in sanitary valves?

Pneumatic actuators provide automatic control and fast switching, making them suitable for production systems with frequent valve operation.

A well-designed mixproof valve combines double sealing, leakage chamber protection, pneumatic control, and hygienic construction. This structure provides reliable fluid separation for modern sanitary processing systems.

Pneumatic Sanitary Stainless Steel Cleaning Single Seat Clamped Mix Proof Valve

The valve is designed to meet the high sealing requirements of products. The double sealing design ensures the sealing of the product cut off, and is widely used in industries such as food, brewing, beverages, dairy products, toothpaste, cosmetics, biopharmaceuticals, etc.

This valve is normally closed (NC) and is equipped with two small pneumatic valves that are in a normally open (NO) state and only needs to supply compressed air to the pneumatic head to synchronously close the two small valves. The main valve core is equipped with two independent seals, forming a leak detection and cleaning chamber between the two seals. Leaking products can flow out from the small valve outlets on both sides and the seals can be replaced in a timely manner. When performing CIP cleaning, the fluid flow is facing the square core of the valve core, which can comprehensively clean the main valve core (with a taper on the main valve core) and make the supplied CIP valve insensitive to water hammer effects. Mainly used for fluid cut-off in pipeline systems, applied in pipeline systems.
