Pneumatic

For water and oil processing with welded connections, a sanitary pneumatic divert valve achieves residue-free flow control through an LL-type body with SS316L wetted parts, Ra ≤ 0.8μm finish, and PTFE/EPDM/NBR seals. Select SS316L for oil or aggressive fluids; SS304 for standard water service. Install sizes 1½" to 4" with pneumatic double-acting or spring-return actuation. The valve core directs flow from inlet to one of two outlets while sealing the other, preventing cross-contamination and eliminating dead zones where product could accumulate.

Dead-Zone-Free Principle

The LL-type valve core seals against the body without creating cavities. The streamlined flow path maintains a smooth bore with no stagnant fluid zones. Sealing surfaces align flush with body walls in either flow position.

This geometry prevents product accumulation and enables complete drainage during cleaning. The mixproof valve relies on this principle to prevent cross-contamination between different media streams.

Key design features:

  • 🌀 Smooth bore transitions eliminate crevices

  • 🔄 Sealing surfaces align flush with body walls

  • 📉 Full port design minimizes pressure drop

  • 💧 Self-draining configuration prevents pooling

Material Selection

Component Standard Alternative
Wetted parts SS316L SS304
Non-wetted parts SS304 -
Seals EPDM / PTFE / NBR -

The valve mixproof construction requires crevice-free, self-draining wetted surfaces. Internal finishes meeting Ra ≤ 0.8μm are standard, with electropolishing available for demanding applications.

LL-Type Body Geometry

The LL-type body features an inlet dividing into two outlet paths. The valve core moves between positions, directing flow to the selected outlet while sealing the other.

Flow positions:

  • Position 1: Inlet to Outlet A

  • Position 2: Inlet to Outlet B

  • LL geometry enables straight-through flow with minimal turbulence

Pneumatic Actuator and Control

The pneumatic actuator provides force to move the valve core. Double-acting actuators use air for both directions; spring-return actuators default to a fail-safe position upon air loss.

Actuator specifications:

  • Supply pressure: 4-7 bar

  • Control: 3/2 or 5/2 solenoid valve

  • Position indication: Visual indicator or proximity sensors

Welded Connections for Permanent Installation

Welded connections eliminate gaskets and crevices, reducing contamination risk. This method suits permanent installations where dismantling is not required.

Welding considerations:

  • Orbital welding for consistent penetration

  • Purge gas to prevent oxidation

  • Post-weld surface restoration to maintain finish

Gasket Material Selection

Gasket Material Temperature Range Application
PTFE -20°C to 200°C Aggressive chemicals, high purity
EPDM -20°C to 130°C Water, general sanitary service
NBR -10°C to 100°C Oils, petroleum-based fluids

EPDM suits water and general CIP service. NBR provides oil resistance. PTFE offers chemical inertness for aggressive fluids.

Maintenance and Service Life

Regular inspection ensures continued performance of the sanitary divert valve. The valve core and seat require periodic checks for wear, and seals should be replaced per schedule.

Maintenance checks:

  1. Verify core movement during each position change

  2. Inspect sealing surfaces for wear or damage quarterly

  3. Replace seals if cracking, hardening, or swelling observed

  4. Clean and lubricate actuator components per schedule

The welded construction provides a permanent, crevice-free installation. The valve mixproof configuration ensures reliable separation between different product streams during processing. For the mixproof valve, internal geometry enables CIP/SIP cleaning without disassembly. The mixproof valves design maintains media integrity during switching operations, while the mixed proof valve principle ensures no cross-contamination between fluids.

Sanitary Stainless Steel Pneumatic Clamp Divert Valve

  • We can supply Sanitary Manual Reversing Valve, Hygienic Pneumatic Divert Valve, Sanitary T Type Divert Valve, Hygienic L Type Divert Valve, Sanitary LL Type Reversing Valve.
  • The series of valve are major let the medium reach the purpose of reversing or end stop, because the good sealablity and cleanability, they are extensively use to different sanitary industry areas.
  • The series of pneumatic cut-off reversing valve change the energy which process by compressed air to the mechanical energy, the mechanical energy can drive the valve rod axial moving, thus move the different location of seal elements, which can control the switch for inlet of pipeline, finally realise the purpose of medium reversing or stop.
  • The manual cut-off reversing valve series control by handle, also reach the purpose of medium reversing or stop at the end.
