For steam, CIP fluids, and viscous products, standard globe valves create turbulence and high pressure drop. The seat angle (15°–30°) ensures smooth redirection with minimal turbulence. A DN 25 valve achieves Cv of 15–20, versus 8–10 for a globe valve. Operation: apply 4–7 bar air to open; spring return closes on air failure.

How the Valve Works

The angle body directs flow at 15°–30°, with the seat positioned to meet the stream. The pneumatic actuator lifts the stem and disc off the seat when air is applied. A positioner translates a 4–20 mA signal into precise stem travel:

  • Signal input – 4–20 mA or 0–10 V DC from PLC or DCS.

  • Positioner – compares setpoint with actual stem position.

  • Stroke – 0–100% proportional to input signal.

For continuous control, the pneumatic angle valve allows stepless flow adjustment.
